What is here, and what it runs on
The four games below are built on the same state data as the rest of the site, so every clue, card and score can be checked against a state's profile. Where Is This? picks one state a day from a bank of puzzles and reveals four clues drawn from its taxes, crime, climate and laws; fewer clues used means a higher score. State Speed Dating asks three questions, scores all 50 states against your answers on income tax, schools, crime, cost of living, sunshine and the 2024 vote, and deals a shuffled deck from the top, middle and bottom of that ranking. This State Wants to Kill You rates every state on 13 natural hazards, from hurricanes and tornadoes to venomous snakes and mosquito-borne disease, weighted by harm and scaled to 100. Find Your Tribe asks five questions, assigns one of seven profiles, and loads that profile as a preset on the homepage ranking.
