Wyoming's age of consent is 17. Wyoming does not have a codified close-in-age exemption for the primary sexual assault statute. Wyoming Statutes Section 6-2-304 covers sexual assault in the second degree. The lack of a formal exemption is notable, though prosecutorial discretion is standard practice for cases involving peers close in age.
Wyoming has no statewide sex education mandate, and the state is among the few with no formal guidance framework at all. Districts have complete discretion over whether to offer sex education and what to include. Wyoming's libertarian political culture means neither a conservative mandate nor a progressive one has gained legislative traction.
Wyoming's adult entertainment environment is moderate by default. Cheyenne and Casper have adult businesses operating under local licensing. The state imposes few state-level restrictions, and the libertarian political culture resists regulation of personal conduct broadly. The overall posture is permissive-by-neglect rather than affirmatively liberal: the state simply does not regulate much, which leaves adult businesses operating with minimal burden.
No sex ed mandate. Very few state-level regulations — libertarian approach.
